  The service was excellent and the food was truly exceptional for the price. It is a little hard to find the first time because the address is Connecticut but the dinner entrance for underground parking is on the side, not in the front. Covered parking was only steps to the door and once inside, It is a lovely setting.

  Love this place so much! Food is excellent and, over the years, we've gotten to know the owner quite well, and he's a stand-up gentlemen for certain. Consistent meals and amazing specials ... I honestly can't remember the last time I ordered from the menu, I think I've always had one of the specials. Never been disappointed. Reasonable prices and good wines to be had, as well. Only trouble here is that someone might have trouble finding the place. It's actually in the basement of the building off of Chevy Chase Lake Drive, and you have to park in the garage there. Once you find it though, you'll probably be back many times afterward!

  I love going to Tavira! The drinks are great but it is the food we come back for.. You have to try the ravioli and the sausage appetizer but don't get it flambed get it sauteed! SO GOOD! The staff is always friendly and the ambiance is warm and cozy. Great happy hour, date, or friendly get together.
